Hi, I’m Mark Irish, founder of Katali LLC.

Across decades of product evolution, I’ve worked with complex medical, laboratory, software, and technical products in both regulated and commercial environments. My background includes clinical and research laboratory systems, surgical instrumentation, neonatal and critical care equipment, intracardiac imaging technologies, and software platforms supporting real-world workflows.I’ve worked through multiple generations of product development — from hardware-driven systems to integrated software platforms — giving me perspective on how products, customers, and documentation needs evolve over time.

Over the years, I’ve held roles in product management, marketing, and implementation across both growing organizations and established manufacturers. In each environment, I noticed a consistent pattern: 

Strong products are built with care and engineering discipline.  Yet the documentation and training that support them often fall behind —  not because they aren’t valued, but because development timelines, regulatory requirements, and operational demands understandably take priority.

That gap is where I work best.

Having worked in structured, regulated environments, I understand the discipline required within quality systems and compliance frameworks. At the same time, my experience across commercial markets keeps the focus on clarity, usability, and practical results.

Katali was created to provide experienced, hands-on execution — delivered on a project basis —  — delivered on a project basis — without adding permanent headcount or diverting internal teams from their core responsibilities.
